“When we make a phone call in Sandwa, the whole village comes with us to listen. Hilaric, because they don’t understand a word we say ! People here live in small houses with tatched roofs. Seems like Africa ! The village’s not even on the map ! No cars, every now and then a bunch of camels lining up at the water well. We have 3 camels, one is pulling the barrow, the other two are for each one of us. Each camel has a chaser who runs with us and every now and then he joins us and sits with us. So far, we get along just fine. They keep their hands to themselves and we feel safe.
These 3 chasers carry some blankets and a bag of flour, that’s all. At night they make a campfire from some woodrests and they bake their own sandwiches. Quite idyllic, if not for the unhuman circumstances.”
