Instead of moving forward, we go backwards. We're back in Bangkok because Nicole urgently needed to see a dentist, Ingrid tells us disappointed. Normally, we should have been in Cambodia today.

The joke that was spread about us taking a ferry back to Pattaya was not returned with thanks, Nicole says with a severe tone ! We made a promise that we should travel around the world UNMOTORISED. We made it so far. So, let's get things straight : we did NOT return to Pattaya by ferry, but by canoe.

That we capsized and went overboard had bad consequences : we had to throw our digital camera away and our very expensive F80 Nikon-lens is badly damaged too. Even our mobiles are not working properly.

But, back to Pattaya, Nicole continues in a better mood. The weather was so nice that we decided to dive. We enjoyed the underwater landscape. Till suddenly we were surrounded by lots of big jelly-fish. They floated on the surface. When we looked a bit closer..... it were nothing more than transparent plastic bags. Yak, these fishermen literally throw everything overboard.

Then toothache hit Nicole. It got worse and worse. Because we had a bad experience last year in Russia, where a dentist had fixed a wrong tooth with Ingrid, we didn't take any risk. We contacted DHL in Bangkok. Our aids advised us to go back to the capital. They gave us the address of a reliable dentist.

It took us 3 days to cycle back to the traffic chaos of Bangkok where we were a fortnight ago. Besides, we had a problem with our visum. It was about to expire. So we extended our documents at the same time.

Sunday we will leave for Cambodia. Nicole had her tooth extracted . We truly hope that some good things will come our way now. No more bad things ! We will have one's teeth in the job...... so to speak
